I went ahead and bought a bunch of indie games, picked up Darkchaser, Oxygen Not Included, and UFO50, and also grabbed Cities: Skylines. Got used to the launch prices of some AAA games, buying these discounted low-priced games really doesn’t hurt much.

Nothing, I’m from Argentina and now if I buy a game I can’t eat for a weak.

Sorry to hear that. Sail the high seas with no worries. You can still contribute to digital preservation of games by seeding. But don’t worry if you can’t do that.

I hope things get better for you!

I have too much of a backlog of games i haven’t played yet. I did not buy anything. Friendly reminder to play your playlist before buying a new game.

This is truth, although i did pick up Cities:Skylines. I’ve got to get through all the other Paradox games from the time they had the bundle sale

Yeah I got the steam deck in the early spring this year and am still trying to get through Witcher 3 and fallout 4. I have a handful of games I got for PC back 15 years ago on steam that I still need to work on after that

Not on steam, but I bought Haven and The Talos Principle 2 on GoG.

I already played Haven on GamePass a few years ago, but I wanted to own it because it’s very good (also to support the developers). As for Talos, I played the original twice and absolutely loved it, so I’m eager to play the sequel.

I played Talos principal 2 this year and it honestly blew me away. It goes without saying the puzzles were intriguing but the story, world building, atmosphere and dialogue are the real stars of the experience.

Absolutely nothing, like in the past like 5 years.

Currently (re)playing all Half-Life and Portal games in order they were released.

If dying over and over again is what’s making you angry, turn on God Mode. The story is amazing. Without God Mode, I would have thrown it on the heap of games started that never hooked me. It was worth setting aside my pride to see a beautiful, intriguing set of stories and relationships unfold.

I kinda wish I had. Maybe I still will… 50 hours in I finally got my first escape and I now find I’m struggling to go back to it because it just keeps getting harder lmao. I just wanna tell Dusa how great she is.

I did turn on God Mode… still suffering. I suppose I’ve just gotta keep dying until I don’t, but I haven’t had the energy for that lately.

Deep Rock Galactic Survivor. I like to play casual games after work to de-stress a bit. Mostly tower defense games. Hoping this one will work well

My only word if caution is that the game will start you on Scout, and it feels miserable. You’ll unlock Gunner pretty quickly, so it doesn’t hurt for too long. The Warthog is completely cracked. If you see it, take it. Have fun, miner!

I bought that Saturday morning at full price. No regerts. In 5 days, I dumped about 30 hours into it.

Found myself doing “tips and tricks” research already, so I think it’s safe to say I’ll be dumping a lot of time into the game

Just bought Riven, I’m liking it quite a lot so far. I see why it’s a classic. Love the feeling of being dropped into a completely alien world.

Great game! Just be glad you don’t have to swap the cd every 20 clicks. Riven was basically 1 disc per cutscene when it first came out and I remember getting very frustrated as a kid when I accidentally triggered an island switch and knew it’d be 10 minutes until I could get back.

    Fuck, fam.

I legit dropped $100. I have a Steam Deck now so it’s like I can have ANY OF IT.

So far, LOTR Moria, For Honor, Barotrauma, and Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance.

I had Dark Alliance on my OG Xbox when I was younger and I’m really looking forward to playing it again as like an idle game.

UFO 50, In Other Waters, Planet of Lana, The Last Game, Genome Guardian, La-Mulana 2, Stacklands DLC…And a steam deck. I decided to finally get the deck before we might get tariffs and UFO 50 was my main purchase for handheld play.

Lastly, I really enjoyed Moonring during this sale period but that is available for free. Thought I should give it some cred despite not fitting your prompt.
