A friend is joining Lemmy and I want to give them my subscriptions so they see a lot of content. How do I send these?
minus-squareHabahnow@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up0·11 hours agoNever done it before. I think there’s an export button that provides a file. You could check that out to see if it provides your subscripted communities.
minus-squaree0qdk@reddthat.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up0·10 hours agoThe export JSON includes followed_communities and blocked_communities among other details. I’ve never tried doing an import though, so not sure what happens if you upload a partial export (trimmed down to just the communities). Note the import/export functionality referred to here is on Lemmy-UI’s (i.e. the default lemmy frontend’s) account settings page.
