The weather in Denver is so nice and they seemed like they were so bored in the garage that I put them out earlier than I planned. I can always put them in the garage if we get a freeze. They are fully feathered so even freezing temps shouldn’t harm them now. I’m out here at dusk because they don’t know to go in thier kennel at night and I’ll have to pick them up and put them in, like I did last night.

I’ll edit some once I’ve wrangled them

Oh, and I forgot to say: we now have basically zero food waste from our household for the past 10 years because of the chickens. All plate scraps are even put into the chicken run. Everything that’s not a bone goes out there. If the birds don’t eat it outright they will scratch and peck until it’s ground into the dirt in thier enclosure. I rake it out twice or three times a year and compost what I get. It’s mainly chicken shit. They usually have free range in half the yard but if they aren’t processing the scraps fast enough I’ll leave them locked in the run for a day or two

No, that’s just resting bitch face. They always have an expression halfway between angry and confused as pullets
