Oh I see what you’re saying.
Dang, maybe I should learn PHP…

Like, 70% or more of the web runs on PHP. That’s also not going anywhere anytime soon.
My friend’s mom gets called back for COBOL stints at major US banks all the time. I don’t know how long it’ll last, but apparently the list of people to select from and bring in is ridiculously short.
As a heavy Windows user on a 12+ hour/day basis - I 110% agree with you.
That they’ll be together in the same area at the same time. Do with that what you will.
This surprises me because McDonald’s app is hands down the worst app I’ve ever encountered in the history of all Android apps.
It’s is sluggish, ignores touches/taps half the time, doesn’t adhere to Android best practices for flow, crashes a lot, errors a lot, etc.
But OK McDonald’s. Fuck off.
I hope so. We need more organization though. The biggest hurdle to “us” as the majority is that we suck at working together and looking past differences for the greater good. And they will use every tool like media, social media, TV, film, and more to keep us that way.
Anyone have tips for someone wanting to do the same but have two hurdles?
Need multi-org account support for Teams due to multiple contracts across different orgs. At the moment I could run Windows in a VM for it but then notifications are rough. An option is running teams in multiple browser profiles / tabs but this is also not entirely ideal (6-7 profiles/tabs just for teams is rough). Any clever ideas welcome, or someone who may have experience with Matrix bridges to accommodate this somehow? Does that work for adhoc calls?
Speedy remote desktop. Parcel seems to be the closest in speed to RDP thus far, but it doesn’t consistently transmit shortcut keys which makes development difficult. Any other suggestions, gladly welcome.
3. (no longer an issue) if you’ve seen my past comments, I used to seek an alternative to Fancy Zones, but my fix for this was to just get rid of my ultrawide and go back to multiple monitors. So this is no longer needed.
Yeah, I bought a Tesla and now regret it because Elon is a dipshit.
That said, I’ve gone over 38,000 miles for less than $900 in electricity. I haven’t had to deal with oil changes or any other maintenance items other than tire rotations and tire replacement (the latter was of my own accord they actually said I didn’t need to yet, at the time).
I recently did a nearly 4hr trip with no need to charge on the way, and at my destination basically filled back up in something like 25 minutes while checking in to my hotel. So, no range anxiety for me.
The ride is nice, the features are helpful to me, and I have had no other issues with the vehicle.
So if it weren’t for Elon I’d love it. I still like it, but I just hate being seen in it now. It’s paid off so the financial cost of getting some other EV doesn’t make a ton of sense right now, so I guess I’ll just drive it until it dies…which at this rate might be a long-ass time.
I’ll have to ask, she worked as a COBOL contractor for multiple banks historically so it might be one of those “who you know” type things. I’ll circle back and reply here if I hear anything.
