I don’t use those self checkout machines because they’re a serious liability to me. If I fuck up and miss scanning something, then I get a shoplifting charge. Best case, they realize it was a simple mistake a trespass me indefinitely for it.

Fuck you. Ring up the items for me.

I also now have a new policy. If they have more self checkout open than regular checkout, I leave my cart in the parking lot NOT in the buggy corral.

There used to be sort of an unspoken honour system that if they didn’t have to pay a kid to collect carts, prices would stay down. Now they’re reducing their labour AND bumping prices to increase profits.

Fuck you. Collect your own cart.

  • And crawling with propaganda accounts.

Check out any political thread or ones about ICE.

I recently saw a thread about ICE where locals started to revolt and protest against ICE being in the neighbourhood. The thread is filled is “removed by reddit” comments and other propaganda account telling people basically not to rise up. Saying things like “They want violence so they can declare martial law. Don’t give them what they want.”

Reddit deletes posts promoting standing up for their freedoms and leaves the ones saying bend over and spread your ass cheeks.

  • I hate all these automatic sensors in new cars. I don’t usually buy new cars, I get ones that are a few years used. Almost all of them have a light on the dash for a “tire error” because the stupid sensor has died and no one in their right mind wants to spend $300 to replace a thing that tells you your tire pressure is low. Plus, the things die in a few years anyway.

I just do the Homer Simpson solution and put a bit of black tape over the tire error light.

  • Grade 6. Biology classes lasted about an hour or so, every day, for a week or two.

Boys and girls were broken into their own groups. I assume this was to help avoid being embarrassed about things in front of the opposite sex.

We were told if we made jokes or giggled, we failed for the day and had to sit in the hall. We nervously and embarrassingly giggled a bit the first day but after we got into it things were fine.

The classes were very straight forward. Dry. Matter of fact. Covered everything they needed to cover for basic biology, how sex works, body parts and what they do, etc, but didn’t talk about things like birth control.
