I remember you have to press either Shift or Alt for the shutdown button to actually shut down the PC.

Phablets were more like an iPad Mini than an iPhone Pro Max back then. They were huge compared to the biggest phones around. I remember seeing people talking on the street with highe phones pressed to their cheeks.

I was a Mullvad user until they dropped support for port forwarding, something I needed on a daily basis. Then I moved to Air Vpn. All things considered, Mullvad is a great experience, and I completely recommend it.
Personally I started to dislike it’s comedy, even though it was one of my favorite movies back in the 90s. I tried to watch it’s sequel and I couldn’t go beyond the first 10 minutes. It hasn’t aged well to me.
IMHO KDE is a better option than gnome. No need to tweak the UI to solve those issues.
