

I had the exact same experience when I first tried Linux. But now when I am evily forced into using Windows and HATE it any other way. Also I despise the windows terminal now (PowerShell & CMD).

I also don’t trust Microsoft to keep it turned off. Even if it is truly off (really hard to tell) what’s to say it doesn’t turn back on in an update. I want an OS I can trust.
It’s a great example of why I push for the use of technologies where I don’t have to trust companies to play nice with my data. If I use (correctly implemented) end to end encryption then you physically can’t access my data.
If they ever make this a standard feature in all TVs and make it where I can’t just disconnect it from the internet, I will be using old TVs for the rest of my life.
My TV is there to display a visual output. It does not and should not do anything else.
Also to be fair I feel like YouTube has a large amount of deadish Internet content or just content that can’t exist in a landscape that doesn’t reward getting clicks (think Mr. Beast and similar).
