I’m right handed, but I keep my phone in my left pocket since I like to be able to pull out my phone to check the map or msgs while using my primary hand for another activity.
When texting, I usually use both hands but certainly can type with just my left hand.
Where do you keep your phone & why?
I put away my phone in the opposite pocket from my keys. When I retrieve it, I always pull it out of the same pocket as my keys. Not sure what that’s all about.
Left, because my keys are in my right pocket and I don’t want to scratch the phone
Same. Left pocket is phone, and phone alone.
Right pocket is everything else.
Left handed, left pocket, nothing else in that pocket. Sometimes left coat or jacket pocket but prefer pants.
Left handed, right pocket. Nothing else goes in that pocket.
Left. Because my keys, cigarettes, and lighter are in the right and there’s no more room for the phone.
Between my butt cheeks as it helps me stay fit by clenching my butt all day.
Also, in my roght pocket as I’m right handed and use my phone a lot.
Your prison pocket

Nice try, pickpocket on the metro
👀
For me it was always clear to have my wallet in my right pocket and my phone in the left one. I never questioned this until now…
Same to me lol
I didn’t mention this in the post ~ but I keep both my phone & wallet in my left pocket (I have a slim wallet though).
The right pocket is for keychain, pocket knife, loose coins, etc. Generally “unsorted” things.
That’s my setup too! Phone and modern carry card case in the front left, keys in the front right.
Wallet and Keys in left pocket, phone and everything else in right.
I never use the back pocket.
Nice try pickpocketer!
Right handed, phone front left, keys front right, wallet back right. It’s a perfect system. Not sure about other countries but in the US the key start is always on the right side of the steering column and I unlock doors with my right hand.
Phone right front. Wallet right back.
Keys left front. You can’t keep a phone and keys in the same pocket. Especially not with the size of modern phones.
Consistency means I always know if I’ve forgotten my phone keys/wallet. There’s never searching or wondering where they’ve gone.
My parents taught me to never keep my wallet in my back pocket due to the risk of causing back problems.
I used to keep mine in my back pocket, then I noticed that my leg would go numb during long drives. Kinda put two and two together and started keeping it in the front pocket.
Your parents did right. Nobody wants the old Costanza wallet syndrome https://youtu.be/9sz2HDRJkUQ
I use a really thin non-folding wallet. Sometimes it’s in the back and sometimes I put it in the front pocket for more security.
I’ve seen some of the 4 inch thick wallets that people sit on. No idea how or why.
Well, lookee here at Mr. Moneybags who actually has enough bills for that to be a concern! \s
I use a very thin bifold wallet like this (stock photo; not my ID):
Mine is currently 13.6 mm thick, folded with all my cards and stuff in it. (I happen to have a set of Vernier calipers sitting on my desk in front of me so I went ahead and measured, LOL.)
Spot on. This is EXACTLY my answer. Same logic behind it and everything.
Nice try, phone thieves.
Right pocket on the uniform, because I fear putting my shears and stethoscope in the same pocket, and the shears have a tip that doesn’t facilitate the left pocket, and the stethoscope rubber is too grabby on the phone.
Left pocket in general, because my wallet is in the right and I hate them clanking together.
Right handed, left pocket.
When I was deciding what went where, I drove a car with actual locks and cell phones were really only for calls, you didn’t spend all day looking at it. So my keys spent more time in my hands than my phone did.
Now it’s a habit and I can’t change it.
Samesies. My keys always went in my right pocket so when cellphones came along that went to the left front pocket to protect it from my keys.
